"...Life is an
so challenge yourself!
Starting at Towradgi Park, approximately 5km North from Wollongong City, the "run/ride/run" Duathlon format will have you competing on various surfaces over relatively flat terrain through the 3 stages of the event, between Bellambi Point in the north and Puckey’s Estate in the south. It will provide an interesting and alternate fun challenge for all levels of recreational participants.
With all 3 course stages all being "Off-Road", the varying nature of the surfaces you will be competing over, provide unique challenges and a sense of adventure, over an area that is easily accessible from the Start/ Finish area of Towradgi Park.
The event includes 2 x Cross-Country style Running stages (stages 1 & 3), with the track surface including a sand-run along the beach, bush & grass tracks, cycleway and just for something different… the potential for ‘2 x shallow water beach crossings’ in the full course Duathlon.
‘The great thing is’, is that participants can take it all at their own pace over the flat courses and never be too far away from the Start/ Finish area.

The Full Course Duathlon should prove to be a fun but challenging course for those participants 16 years and over comprising a 6km run, followed by an 8 km off-road mountain-bike ride and then a final 3.5km run.
The Short Course Duathlon course is specially designed to challenge 13 to 15 year age group and is comprised of a 3.5km run, followed by a 7km bike ride and then finishing with a 2km run. It has also been designed for ages 16 and over who want to ‘have a go’ at participating in the Duathlon.
The Junior "Have-a-go" Duathlon, a shorter variation of the Junior Short Course, and encourages all children from 10 to 12 to ‘have a go’ participating in a Duathlon, this event comprises a 2km run followed by a 5km bike ride and then a 1.5km run.
